Our client based in Croatia is a technology powerhouse manufacturing electric hypercars and providing full technology solutions to global automotive manufacturers.
We are looking for experienced and resourceful Head of Logistics & Production Planning to join our growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day running of the Logistics, which includes strategy planning and project planning, creating and implementing missing processes, and monitoring their implementation, planning and budget management. Also, this position includes looking for certain irregularities and shortcomings, which can be improved to make all logistics more efficient, hiring logistics staff, setting up goals and motivation of employees, cooperation with other departments in the company, etc.
The role would suit someone from an Automotive OEM manufacturing background who has had responsibility for the Logistics team managing a team of circa 50 people. The business is going through lots of growth and expansion and they need someone to assist with this.
1. Responsibilities
Strategic planning and daily management of production planning & scheduling, warehouse operations, transportation, and intralogistics
Continuous supervision and optimization of OEE within corresponding production areas in close cooperation with Manufacturing Engineering
Ensuring logistics planning activities for products throughout development phase (Simultaneous Engineering)
Continuous improvement of all logistics processes, following Lean Management principles
Responsible for direct supervision of logistics staff, leading and motivating employees using a team approach to create a positive work environment
Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers with respect to logistics requirements of the business
Ensuring on-time availability of parts to production and engineering, including internal distribution
2. Requirements
Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in logistics, warehouse management and transportation disciplines for an international company, preferably Automotive Industry
Sound experience and knowledge of Production Planning and Scheduling principles
Familiar with Lean Principles and capable to apply them throughout the Value Chain
Familiar with corresponding ERP / MES systems of Automotive Industry
Preferably experienced with Manufacturing environments with high level of verticalization and the requirements arising from low volumes manufacturing
Organizational agility and flexibility, capable and familiar with Matrix-oriented organizations
Capability to drive initiatives from start to end, on time within budget
Settled character and collaborative leadership approach with proven track record
