Job Description

A fantastic opportunity to join a brand new team, in a business that is investing heavily on state on the art testing facilities. This business is building a brand new battery test facility and require two facilities engineers to help get it up and running and ensuring the facility then continues to run smoothly. 

Roles and responsibilities
- Provide all technical support for Engineering team preparing Propulsion Facilities to perform tests activities according to customer requirements
- Provide corrective and preventive maintenance on battery testing automation systems
- Develop and improve test schedules for battery testing automation systems
- Conducts investigations and prepares reports to support investigations on automation systems
- Identify failures and suggest modifications to testing systems
- Provide technical support and training for Battery testing staff
- Assure all instruments are calibrated and generating reliable dat

- BSc in technical disciplines.
- (MSc in the automotive or electrical field would be an advantage)
- (17th/18th Edition Electrical Training would be an advantage)

- Must have experience using wiring diagrams and harness drawings 
- Experience working with automation softwares
- Experience with Instrumentation including thermocouples and pressure transducers
- Should be familiar to test beds main controls including PID tuning, actuators, and BMS
- (Battery testing environment familiarity is desirable)
- (Automotive background is desirable)

- Demonstrate strong organizational skills mostly when handling large amounts of data
- Familiar with automotive test automation systems such as Horiba STARS, AVL PUMA, AVL Lynx or Kratzer PAtools
- Aptitude to repair electrical and mechanical systems
- (Software coding and scripting skills are highly desirable)
