Engineer - CAD Quality (CAD Checker)

Location: Norfolk

Responsibilities:
Quality CAD data is integral to our projects' success. We're looking for a CAD Quality Engineer to join our dedicated team to check design information to ensure quality and compliance is maintained across our design functions. This is a key role within the business and will give you an opportunity to get involved across multiple functions. 

On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will include;
•Providing a checking facility for any design information issued to manufacture vehicle components or to be released into an external client’s corporate information systems.
•Supporting the CAD Business Systems Engineer in the development of CAD quality systems and processes.
•Assisting in the training and mentoring of new starters and existing staff in the application of CAD quality standards and procedures.
•Checking designs for functional compliance and compatibility with associated components against schemes / drawings or 2D /3D CAD data.
•Checking design drawings for compliance with the relevant drafting and CAD systems standards.
•Checking 3D CAD models for compliance with the relevant standards.

Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)
•Extensive knowledge of CAD drawing standards with respect to part definition and specifications.
•Extensive experience in CATIA v5 or Unigraphics CAD systems.
•Knowledge of TeamCenter beneficial.
•Strict attention to detail in maintaining consistent application of CAD standards.
•Experience liaising with design engineers to review and correct CAD quality adherence
