Our Motorsport & Automotive Consultancy client is recruiting a new Electrical Test and Integration Engineer to join the team supporting new programs.
Our client is a leading supplier of engineering and vehicle development services to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers. Specialties include suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, carbon fibre structural components, mechanisms and mechatronics.
You will be educated to degree level with relevant experience in automotive electrical system integration, and will have experience in at least 3 of the following areas:
- Whole vehicle electrical systems testing, commissioning and homologation
- Vehicle-level EMC testing
- HiL and Lab car build and testing
- ISO standards 26262, 16750 & 16949
- Vehicle electrical module integration
- HV testing and commissioning
- 12V testing and commissioning
- EMI fault diagnosis
- Automotive CAN architecture management and CAN networking fault diagnosis
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Lead the creation of all testing requirements to carry out the successful integration of electrical modules on vehicles
- Create detailed DVP engineering timing plan and ensure that this plan is adhered to and successful implemented
- Vehicle Legislative Validation and Certification
- Vehicle Level Functional Safety
- Vehicle Sign-Off For Production
- Vehicle Type Approval
- Specific Electrical Testing
- LV System Commissioning
- HV System Commissioning
- The building of lab cars, HiL rig and test rigs required to carry out the development of vehicles
- Liaise with third party test houses and other relevant suppliers with the booking of relevant tests
- CAN architecture validation
