We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Portsmouth team. You'll play a key role in keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently through a combination of planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
* Diagnose faults and complete electrical and mechanical repairs.
* Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.
* Support equipment setup, commissioning, and production changeovers.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and performance.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality procedures.
* Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Planning teams to support operational targets.

About You

Essential

* Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
* 5+ years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
* Experience using CMMS systems.
* Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Desirable

* Forklift, IPAF, or PASMA certification.
* Experience with risk assessments and COSHH.
