This position is all about the longer term – what resources will we need, what equipment needs buying, how are we going to develop our suppliers, develop the team, succession planning, reduce cost etc etc..

You’ll be responsible for a team managers who in turn manage about 50 others.  This is in the areas of production engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, production test, customer support engineering and quality.

You’ll report to the CEO and ultimately be responsible for ensuring the day to day execution of customer deliveries, as well as playing a key part in the introduction of new products into production.

The client is fairly open to the level of experience one might have, but one thing you will need is a Degree or equivalent in a scientific or technical subject. An MSc or MBA is desirable.

You should also be analytical but with a logical approach to problem solving, as well as highly competent in production management, electro/mechanical engineering, lean manufacturing, supply chain management, MRP/ERP systems and ISO/OHSAS standards.

Ideally we are after a driven & ambitious individual – a highly motivated self-starter. 

Key Requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity:

•    Degree qualified in a scientific or technical subject
•    Post-graduate qualification preferred (MSc, MBA etc.) & ideally chartered engineer status
•    Very strong background in operational and engineering management and delivering products/projects
•    Experience of lean technique application in operational and engineering disciplines
•    Experience of project and programme management
•    Someone who can prepare the company for continued growth
•    Understands the dynamics of an SME business
•    An up and coming leader who is looking for career progression and more responsibility in their role

Package available:

-    £90-£110k, depending on experience
-    20% bonus
-    25 days hols per year

After 6 months probation:
