This exciting position would appeal to a Software engineer who is looking for either their 1st, 2nd or 3rd job in industry. A Software Engineer who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast moving R&D environment where new product ideas are turned around in a matter of days. You’ll have access to some of the latest tools and be working with about 50 R&D engineers, all dedicated to coming up with the latest must have consumer products. This will also involve collaborative work with other teams in Taiwan, China, Boston & California.
We are looking for an audio enthusiast who is an excellent computer programing and able to support, design, maintain and implement In-house tuning DSP tools-set. You’ll also support the tuning integration into central software systems & work on exploration projects as the interface between the CoreOS and DSP.

DSP Tuning Tools –The role is to first take over the responsibility for the creation, support and on-going maintenance of the original tools. In the longer-term developing the unified replacement to current systems, with the aim to add more speed and flexibility to the development process.
Software Release – Acting as the interface between the development team, and the primary software team to ensure the smooth integration of the DSP images and all associated control code into the operating system. Furthermore, take a lead role in the correct management of DSP builds within the current automated build system.
Exploration Software – Working on our next generation of audio products to help create rapid prototypes of new algorithms and innovations. Developing the control code for the real-time DSP algorithms, CoreOS discussion making based on data from the DSP, as well as handling advanced calculations, non-time critical functions and passing data between 3rd party services. Once the prototypes transfer from the proof of concept stage, supporting the software team with bringing these features to market.
To apply for this position, you’ll need to demonstrate the following:
- Degree/MSc. (or higher) in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Python, Matlab or other C based programming language
- Linux or UNIX development environment
- An active interest in audio, music or sound
- Excellent communication skills, outgoing personality, positive can do attitude
