Job Description

My client is a Motorsport & Automotive Global Supplier providing engineered components and product development services to major Race Teams, automotive OEM's and Niche Vehicle Manufactures.

A new job opportunity has arisen for X2 Design Engineers - Body Engineering on a permanent basis with a competitive salary. 

As part of company's ongoing expansion, a new body engineering group is being created in Coventry to serve their Niche Vehicles assembly facility and design needs of high end automotive manufacturers. 

You will demonstrate a range of skills to join a new team delivering exciting OEM, motorsport and niche vehicle projects.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

As a Design Engineer, you will be involved in the development of composite body structures and systems. You will be involved in projects through all stages of production so should be familiar with production and development methods. 

Knowledge of composite design and manufacturing methods would be a distinct advantage as would an understanding of automotive systems. The role will include the creation, sign off and release of technical drawings for components and assemblies as well as BOM creation, component validation and customer interface.

Must have NX Unigraphics CAD Package experience

Education and Experience:
- Ideally looking for a design engineer with 4+ years of experience, ability to lead multiple projects at the same time and the drive to reach challenging goals
- Engineering degree required
- It is expected that candidates will be proficient in the use of Siemens NX CAD system
- Candidates should also be familiar with typical product development and part verification systems (e.g. FMEA, PPAP etc.).
