Control Systems & Electrical Design Engineer – Automated Industrial Machinery

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical engineer who has been working in industry for a few years and who would now like to progress further.  This position offers you the chance to work with a variety of different technologies, allowing you to broaden your engineering skills whilst giving you exposure to many aspects of electrical and control systems design. 
 
Working in a project orientated environment, you’ll be part of a small highly-skilled team who are responsible for designing electrical control panels using AutoCad and programming PLC’s and HMI’s. You could also be involved in the installation and commissioning of systems which will involve a requirement for  travel to customer sites throughout the UK – this is on average 2 -4 days a month (car and expenses provided).
 
Our client is ideally looking for a conscientious and ambitious Electrical Engineer who would like a varied and interesting role in the industrial automation industry.  This position will appeal to engineers who are happy to take on a diverse range of responsibilities throughout the project cycle.  
 
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Relevant Engineering Degree – ideally electrical or control systems engineering 
Some proven ability within the Industrial Automation & Machinery sector 
A solid foundation in the principals of Electrical and Control Systems Engineering
 
In addition, you will need to have practical experience with at least 3 of the following to be considered:
• AutoCAD Electrical or Eplan
• RSLogix 5000 & 500
• Mitsubishi GX Works 2
• Siemens S7 & S5 
• RSNetworx for Device-net or similar Industrial Networking 
• Proface Software
• E-Designer
• ProTool
• 6-Axis Robot Programming
