Calibration Engineers - GDI
Permanent or contract

My British automotive cleint that manufactures sports cars is seeking 2 x Calibration Engineers to join the business.

These roles can permanent or contract.

Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
Implementation and calibration of control algorithms.
Conduct testing in a vehicle or dynamo-meter environment, including vehicle emission tests as required to ensure legal compliance to EU, China and US regulations
Troubleshooting: solving interface issues arising from test-bed and vehicle testing
Specific activities/criteria

Deliver gasoline calibration development program scope
Understand and track on-going project issues
Provide technical input to proposals; project elements and prototype development
ECU and TCU calibration using Inca and ETAS development tools
Deliver project elements with support from more senior staff when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)

Detailed knowledge and experience with automotive Powertrain systems controls (performance and emissions related)
Knowledge of engine design, development, validation and test processes.
Previous engine calibration experience, ideally with Bosch ME7 / ME17 / MED17 / MDG1. Plus, control strategy design and development.
Capable of working efficiently as part of a small team to tight deadlines.
Experience in a GDI engines would be an advantage
Good communication, information transfer and inter-personal skills with practical, pro-active hands on approach.
Familiar with Powertrain project management tools and tracking systems
Good level of ability with office programmes including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
