Honda Racing Corporation has established a new subsidiary, Honda Racing Corporation UK Ltd. (HRC UK) in the UK.
This new company has been founded to primarily perform post-race maintenance and preparation tasks on the Honda built current F1 power units (PUs), whilst also operating as a logistics operation for the European region. The establishment of HRC UK will further enhance the effectiveness of Honda’s PU operations, in support of the partnership with Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team. In May 2023, Honda and Aston Martin F1 jointly announced they will enter into works partnership so that Honda will supply its F1 PUs compliant with the new F1 regulations which will take effect in the 2026 season.
We are seeking a Management Accountant to undertake key accounting tasks to support the month-end and year-end close process and maintain the fixed asset register. The role will support and coordinate accounts payable query resolution between Shared Service Centre and local departments. The individual will also monitor and guide the process and coding of Associate expense claims.
Main Responsibilities:
• Company-wide budget planning promotion role.
• Verify monthly budget-actual variances and report to management.
• Asset/inventory flow monitoring based on FIA Financial Regulation.
• Reporting preparation with FIA Financial Regulation template on monthly basis.
• Assisting with information required for accounting audit and F1 26 PU AUP.
• Check month-end close - accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other journal entries.
• Check month-end reports and general ledger interrogation.
• Check fixed asset cycle & audits.
• Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of the post.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Ideally CIMA or ACCA, would consider PQ & FMAAT/MAAT.
• Management reporting experience.
• General ledger experience (accruals and prepayments) fixed assets accounting maintenance and reporting.
• Team player - ability to work within the team as well as self-managing/prioritising tasks, flexible and able to work to tight deadlines.
• Multi-task (priorities workload) and accurate output, excellent IT skills - MS Excel (data manipulation).
• Ability to communicate and present to non-finance managers & Associates.
• Accounts suite / ERP system experience, ideally SAP.
• Ability to travel within the UK and abroad.
• Full driving license and competence to drive in the UK
