💰 Salary: £28,000 - £35,000

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement? We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join the Operational Excellence team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring industry-leading lasers are built and tested to the highest standards.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Production Support: Troubleshoot production lines, identify root causes, and resolve issues.
  • Process Optimisation: Improve production efficiency and equipment performance to maximise yield.
  • Collaborative Product Qualification: Work with engineers to implement new processes and qualify new products.
  • Maintenance & Calibration: Ensure equipment is maintained, serviced, and calibrated on schedule.
  • Process Documentation: Develop and maintain clear work instructions, SOPs, and workflows.

🎯 What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Experience in manufacturing, service, or repair industries.
  • Hands-on approach with a solid understanding of production processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Competent IT skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Cleanroom experience is highly desirable.

Nice to Have:

  • Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with machine and equipment repairs.
  • Experience in cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Optical or mechanical assembly knowledge.
  • Cleanroom experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles.

🎓 Qualifications:

  • Technical qualifications in engineering or science (or equivalent experience).
