Purpose
The role is at the heart of  both “world class” engineering innovation and customer relationships. The team will offer very high quality field and support engineering to a global customer base and the engineering development teams. This is from the UK HQ and from onsite customer presence. This will include work based on system integrations, lab and field testing for the development teams and customer validation and all pre/postproduction activities linked to the companies electric solutions and knowledge transfer.

The role will be working within a team environment and include working in other territories to meet customer onsite support needs. Includes a range of work supporting design, integration, assembly and testing activities, together with a range of electronic based tasking to include soldering, wiring, PCB build and adjustments.

The role holder will represent  the business when working onsite with customers and will thus have responsibility for contributing to a customer partnership approach through ensuring delivery is to agreed deadlines.

Duties
• To work with and support customers in respect of a full range of pre, production and post- production on site enquiries and tasks.
• To troubleshoot and resolve problems in respect of motors and drive systems.
• To offer guidance and support to customers to achieve test, production and delivery targets and deadlines.
• To work  in relation to plans and processes through collaboration with wider engineering team.
• To contribute to building long term customer relationships that evolves into Partnership working.
• To provide “real time” formal feedback to engineering colleagues in respect of field service operations and outcomes from tasking.
• To develop “best practice” way of working, in line with a Continual Improvement ethos.
• To ensure data and documentation is accurate and regularly updated to reflect progress against plans and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment reflective of HSE principles.
• Must be fully prepared to work anywhere in UK and in territories where customers are located. Will involve global travel.
• Any other reasonable duties, as requested by your manager.

Qualifications
• Relevant Engineering qualifications in a key discipline.
• Or proven track record / experience in related field.

Experience
• Proven experience in an engineering / manufacturing environment, preferably relevant sectors.
• Proven track record of results delivery and effect personal performance.
