This is working for a company based just north of Farnborough and involves using Solidworks.
It&rsquo;s an opportunity to join a small, dedicated and highly skilled team of engineers &amp; scientists, designing technically advanced optical &amp; acoustic instrumentation. Our electronics manufacturing client based in Fareham, Hampshire are seeking either a Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer to expand their team. To be suitable for this role they require someone from an electronics manufacturing background with AS9100 experience.
ROLE OVERVIEW This is a general quality assurance role and is responsible for working with the Quality Manager in the development, maintenance, and improvement of the company Quality Management System, with a high degree of autonomy. &nbsp;This includes identifying, analysing, and addressing quality concerns using 8D, A3 or similar methodologies, calling upon appropriate quality tools. Additionally to prepare and update quality control documents, plans, procedures, and process flows, and assisting with First Article Inspections, Calibration, and QC tasks as required. There will also be some involvement with customer and Certification Body audits as required.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Ideally degree qualified in a technical subject involving elements of quality assurance, manufacturing, or statistics, with a proven history of driving quality improvements. A good understanding of and experience working with AS9100 / ISO9001 quality management systems, including internal auditing. An understanding of manufacturing drawings, specifications, and instructions, with a working knowledge of IPC standards (ideally CIS) is desirable.
