Test & Instrumentation Development Engineer

Our client is a world leader in advance E compressor and E Turbo technology, helping reduce harmful emission and improve engine efficiencies.

They have also been recognised as one of the fastest growing small technology companies in the UK & due to continued demand are now seeking to recruit a Test Development Engineer to help with introducing a new product into production.

You'll be responsible for delivering robust Development and Production Test capacity to support all products. Responsible for developing and maintaining new and existing test infrastructure and working across functions to introduce test processes, procedures & facilities. This includes demonstration and test rigs for use off-site and also approving test activities at suppliers.

Essential Criteria:

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent

• Experience of working in a Test environment, with demonstrable experience developing Test Strategies and/or designing and implementing new test processes/systems, ideally for the automotive sector

• High level of competency on MS applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Desirable Criteria:

• Detailed knowledge and understanding of any of the following:

o Power Converter / Power Electronics principles of operation

o Electronics (PCB and Power Converter) test methodologies and test environments, and manufacturing processes

o Electrical control systems, PLC Programming

o Serial Comms

This position would suit electrical or electronic engineers who are interested in working with technically challenging applications, where design, analysis and problem solving are the order of the day.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week (Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5pm and Friday, 8:30am - 1:30pm).
