We are looking for a driven, self-starting EE Commodities Manager with a proven track record of delivering EE components within the automotive industry. Working in the EE team, engaging with suppliers, interfacing teams and other stakeholders, you will be responsible for building a strong team to deliver a wide range of commodities.
Who and what will you be working with?
You will be working in the EE team, reporting to the Head of EE.
What will you be responsible for?
•Manage a team delivering electrical commodities required to deliver cutting edge connected, autonomous and electric vehicles, from concept to production.
•Develop, implement and improve processes which support high quality engineering.
•Work with the Design Team to define A-surface requirements for electrical commodities.
•Engage suppliers and develop ongoing technical and commercial relationships.
•Define component level requirements and targets, ensure that these are delivered.
•Assess and report programme deliverables according to the company's product development process. Resolve or escalate issues as appropriate in a timely and effective manner.
•Ensure DVPs, test reports, FMEA, FTA, DFM, and countermeasures required to ensure delivery are completed and robust.
•Responsible for the development and delivery of commodities including body electronics, electrical distribution system, security systems, interior sensor systems, switchgear, audio system, telematics, network gateway, and displays.
Who are we looking for?
To help achieve our goals, we need someone with:
•At least 10 years of experience with global automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
•Management experience in at least one previous role preferred
•A proven track record of delivering quality products on time and to budget
•Excellent knowledge of English language, MS Office
•Ability to work in start-up environment
•An entrepreneurial mindset and an ability to apply their significant experience to new challenges
•Familiarity with Functional Safety and Cyber Security in automotive
•Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively through all forms of communication, as well as present technical reports confidently
•Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Experience with Jama or other requirements management system is desirable
